Gerald Haidl, CEO of NEWCON, comments the actual development
at the IT sector in 2010:
‘Especially in the IKT branches an enormous change takes place. Competition and for this reason
cost pressure increase strongly. Corporate-wide businesses processes are currently realized
suboptimal respectively are implemented only rudimentary from the IT - technical point of view. For
example TELCO companies have done massive investments in their classical network infrastructure,
but the IT sector was neglected over the last years. The companies have to rethink right now, build
up leadership in the IT sector and make strategic decisions concerning the future of their whole
company. Billing systems (banks, insurances, TELCOs) often aren’t flexible enough to do real time
processing. For this reason NEWCON invests in the development of ‘Near Real-time
Applications’.’
